home alone at 9 on friday night...hoping that a childless person has read my myspace message to them. sad that they haven't.

must.realize...people without children are not sitting home checking myspace on a friday night.

then again...it's only 7pm there while it's 9 here. maybe there's hope yet.

Flash Back

and old friend from back home called tonight.  total blast from the past.  it was really great to catch up and such a surprise to hear from him.  it's making me wish i was closer to home and that i had access to all kinds of cheesy old photos. 

i want to post them on facebook.

do you have any idea the hourse of tooth brushing joy that a new $5 electric dora toothbrush can bring to a 2 year old?  no i mean  seriously. do you?

if I'd let her she'd use up that entire tube of little bear toothpaste, right here right now.

today

I officially sent my baby big girl off to pre school  pre K today (preschool was the room she was in when she was 3 and now it's pre-k).  Sniff sniff.

Its weird to be home with just 1 kid.

Must be time to make another.  If only hubby weren't traveling so darn much.  I might be able to get knocked up.

Things I did do today

• Paint 1st coat of basement bedroom (not closet)
• nursed hang over due to the wine I had with dinner last night
• picked up the house (but didn't clean)
• snoozed lightly for a few mins (i wouldn't call it a nap)
• washed and dried a load of laundry that I had washed previously but failed to transfer to the dryer (ok, it was a few times)
• ate a few oreos
• listened to some fab 90's songs while I painted.  brought back lots of memories of people and places.
• cleaned out the fish tank because one of the fish has now gone to that big fishbowl in the sky (via the big fishbowl in my bathroom)
• Put names on the envelopes for Big girls birthday invitations so she could stuff the envelopes

I'd say it was quite a day.

Things I may or may not do today

• paint the basement bedroom
• clean the house
• go back to Lowe's to reevaluate carpet options (since the estimate came back at +5K)
• take a nap
• nurse a hangover

I'll let you know how it all turns out.

Found a new blog today.

Thought I'd share.  She's pretty funny.  Claims its mostly fictional, but I really don't know about that.  Some if it is so off the wall that it just has to be true.

Oh, and Kayla...go to your settings tab and scroll down to the global settings (under basic) and move the radio button to Updated Editor. 
I'm loving it.

This is a horse we saw at the fair today the other day.

I don't know why I chose this photo to share with you.

I just wanted to try out the new blogger editor I found a couple of minutes ago.

and also, why do I continually let myself stay up this late?

I want you to know that my eyes are watering and the screen is blurry as I type this.

But dammit.  I'm doing it. 

oh and also.  this new editor features a strikethrough button so I don't have to deal with the annoying, cumbersome, html tagging that I JUST learned how to do.

ah well.

PS.  Doesn't this horse look like it should have been a giraffe?

edited - evidently i'm so tired that I thought I went to the fair today.  going to bed now.

AND I saved over $45 with coupons at the grocery store today. Gotta love that!
